Overview
The Shootview NR728 Nicam Off-Air Receiver is a high quality UHF/VHF TV tuner with an in-built NICAM decoder providing reception of high quality digital stereo audio.
There is provision for push button selection of up to 99 TV channels, with electronic tuning.
The 1U 19" unit provides a high quality video output, balanced line level dual channel analogue outputs, balanced line level mono FM outputs and an AES/EBU output.
An LCD display shows the channel selected from memory, the actual channel number tuned to, the channel frequency, the audio mode (i.e. stereo, mono FM etc.), and the bit error rate.
A facility is provided to adjust the bit error rate threshold at which the audio mode reverts to mono FM.
If the stereo signal is present it is decoded and fed to the main outputs. The mono analogue signal can be selected manually if required. When the stereo signal is not present the mono analogue audio channel is routed to the output. If dual language programmes are transmitted as dual channels, either channel can be selected or both received simultaneously.
